Armoured for outdoors
Another awesome thing that was seen at MWC was at the Ulefone booth. The company has unveiled it's new rugged phone named the Ulefone Armor 2.

It's a chunky and robust looking phone,  whose Iron Man design inspirations are quite apparent at first look. That's not bad by any means, the red and gold paint job looks stunning!

The top and bottom are covered in black rubber materials, to absorb impact if you drop it on it's head.
There are screws all around the phone,  which gives it a very industrial and tough look.

The back has a big NFC receiver, clearly labelled on it. There are speakers on both corners of the back as well. There's a USB type C port on the bottom, sealed with a stylish red bordered flap.

The volume buttons are on the left side and the power button on the right. There's also a dedicated camera button, which is always appreciated. The buttons are flat and wide, very nice to click on!

What's awesome is that there's also a walkie talkie button above the power button, which is pretty cool to have. It reminds us of the phone's of old, which had this nifty little feature to use your phone as a walkie talkie.

Other specs are pretty dope themselves:
  • It's powered by a 2.5 GHz Mediatek P25 octacore CPU
  • 6 GB of RAM
  • Mali-T880 MP2 GPU
  • 64 GB expandable storage
  • A huge 4700 mAh battery

Looks tough!
The front houses a 5 inch 1080p IPS LCD display with Gorilla glass 4 protection.

The rear camera is a 16 mp sensor with f/2.2 aperture and there's also a 5 mp selfie snapper too. I really can't comment on camera quality or anything on the share side, because I didn't play around with it myself. But it will be running on android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

The phone is also IP68 water and dust resistant, so there's that! Beauty and brains, protected from water.

With that massive battery capacity, standby times should be excellent. Although there's no word on whether or not there'll be any fast charging support.

The phone has two color variations, orange and black. Pricing details will be available soon.

I know, this phone may not be so interesting to everyone. But hey, it's not meant for everyone. It's for that outdoorsy person, who doesn't care of his phone weighs a ton, or is made out of plastic and metal. All they care about is a reliable phone with a monster battery.

This here is for them. Ulefone themselves unveiled it in a box full of sand and dirt, to say it's not a Barbie doll phone! It may not win any awards for beauty, but might certainly win several hearts!
